i was quite addicted to this song since last week. I can start listening to old songs according to my mood, and well, obviously with what has been going on lately. The song is stuck in my head. dough i didn’t check for the meaning on song meaning, i just assumed it could have been about liars and lovers. Then i was searching for all of Keane single’s on Wikepedia, and “Nothing in my way” was a link so i clicked it and it brought me to the page about the song information and then there at the bottom the meaning of it, according to their Pianist Time Rice-Oxley :

“ The song’s actually written about some people I know who are married, and their marriage was essentially just bringing a lot of misery to both of them, but for some reason they just refused to acknowledge it. I hate the idea of people being so much in denial that they’re prepared to almost let their lives fall apart rather than acknowledge what’s going on.”.

Yah, a coincidence right! especially what my family is going through right now, and it’s pretty rare to find a song about marriages, and the way he said it, was just what i was thinking about my parents marriage. Anyways, this is a total rain check but enjoy the song and the lyrics, I’m sure you’ll love it.
